2008 Tour of Israel and Jordan

It's only a few weeks until our trip begins. In fact, only 24 days but who's counting? Here is our proposed  itinerary. As we have said from the beginning, we'll try to stick with this plan but we must be flexible. There are many conditions that can altar it.

Feb. 22: We depart via San Diego and Los Angeles to meet in Washington DC for our connecting flight. 

Feb. 23: Arrive in Tel Aviv and transfer to our hotel for dinner and to catch up on our sleep.

Feb. 24: Stops include: Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Jezreel Valley, Megiddo, Nazareth. We will end our day arriving at the Sea of Galilee. 

Feb. 25: Stops include: Kursi, Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi (Banias), Capernaum, Sea of Galilee boat ride, and Mt. of Beatitudes. 

Feb. 26: Stops include: Jordan River, Gideon Springs, Bei Shean/Scythopolis, ending our day at the Dead Sea.

Feb. 27: Stops include: Masada, En Gedi, Qumran, ending our day arriving at Jerusalem. 

Feb. 28: Stops include: City of Jerusalem, Israeli Museum, Jerusalem Model, Bethlehem, the Herodium.

Feb. 29: Stops include: Mt. of Olives, Gethsemane, Rabbinical Tunnels, Pool of Bethesda, St Anne's Church.

Mar. 1: Stops include: Walk the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Golgotha, Garden Tomb, Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum).

Mar. 2: Stops include: Enter the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Jerash (Gerasa), Amman, and an afternoon at JETS (Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary). 

Mar. 3: Stops include: Petra. 

Mar. 4: Stops include: Mt. Nebo, Medeba, Allenby Bridge, then back for final overnight in Jerusalem. 

Mar. 5: Depart Tel Aviv for our return flight.
